NYC Goju Ryu Karate is looking forward to the increasing possibility that we will be able to welcome our children and families back into our school, in some capacity, by September.
During this Remote Learning period, the administrative staff of NYC Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate has been actively engaged in preparing for the possibility of a School Re-Opening. This includes careful review and updating of safety and health protocols, as well as a thorough study of the Dojo building preparedness.
This process is monumental and ongoing, but we would like to reassure you that when NYC Okinawa Goju Ryu Karate does re-open its doors, it will be with the utmost care and concern for the safety and well being of every child and staff member. We will have stringent health screening and safety protocols in place, and we will be asking for the cooperation of our staff members and families in maintaining a healthy environment for all.
We have installed Plexiglas barriers between tables, as well as sneeze guards on each table. All Tables are 6 feet apart, and students will be 6 feet apart as well. We will have a HEPPA MERV 13 filtration system to keep our schools air, both circulating, and cleaning simultaneously. We will also be doing Electrostatic disinfection cleaning every night. SAFETY IS OUR #1 PRIORITY!
The next step in Re-Opening preparedness is to develop proposed service delivery models, which could tentatively meet the needs of all our children and families. As you know, schools are being required to plan for several re-opening possibilities, including the following: Full-time In-Person Learning, Blended or Hybrid Learning, and Full-time Remote Learning. We will be providing both all-day virtual as well as after school.
